Facebook Pages at Risk of Being Ripped Down

It’s only a matter of time before Facebook start to take action against Page owners who don’t follow their Promotional Guidelines.

I cannot count the number of times that small business owners chat with me about their competition.  When I tell them they need a third party app (ie a little piece of software) to manage and run their contest, they say “Oh I can’t afford that”.

After I pulled myself up off the floor I say … “You cannot afford a small investment of $15 to ensure you are compliant with Facebook’s Guidelines!

As a business owner a small cost like that should be part of your marketing expenses and should be something that you can recover from the return on your competition.

News.com.au today announced that Pages are at Risk of being shut down.  They have reported that ABOUT 50 per cent of business Facebook pages are in breach of the Facebook guidelines and State laws and are running the risk of been ripped off the network.

Whilst I think 50% might be an exaggeration of the true figure, I do agree that there are a large number who do not comply with the Guidelines.  Visit news.com.au to read more.
